OLMC initiates new programThe OLMC parish community initiated a new program for the disenfranished single adults in the community of Mount Vernon. The program called "The Father's Table" will offer a hot meal and community about once monthly to celebrate holidays. The first meal is to be served on the Feast of the Epiphany, the feast of lights, at the church's community center on Willams street behind the church. Plans are developing to offer a meal on Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day. The purpose of the meal is not just to feed the marginalized persons of our community, but mainly to offer them a sense of community by coming together as a family of people to celebrate holidays.
